Express FC Vs Simba – Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku

Express FC will seek to bounce back from their first league defeat of the season by picking maximum points against Simba who they host on Tuesday.

The Red Eagles lost their unbeaten run on Friday as they lost 1-0 to Sadolin Paints in Bugembe and the fixture against struggling Simba provides an opportunity to return to restore parity at Wankulukuku.

Nevertheless, Express’ Wasswa Bbosa is wary of the threat posed by a side languishing in relegation.

“We can’t any slip up but we must be at our best to beat Simba,” he stated. “They are desperate for points as the need for survival is the target,” he added.

The Red Eagles are buoyed by the return of striker Ceaser Okhuti, Richard Kigozi and Vincent Kayizzi.

The trio was absent against The Painters last week. However, Mike Mutyaba; who has so far been brilliant for the club is doubtful for the clash.

Like Express FC, Simba will also seek redemption after losing 2-0 at home to Soana FC in their previous game.

Ivan Wava, Yasin Mugume and Rogers Aloro hold the key for the army side if they are to leave Wankulukuku unscathed.

Last season, Simba drew goalless at the venue before winning 3-0 at home and thus will draw inspiration from those results.

The hosts are 5th with 17 points while the visitors are 14th with just eight points.
