Malindi International Beach Soccer Tournament:

The inaugural Malindi International beach soccer tournament kicked off on a sour note for Uganda Sand Cranes.
Kenya won 5-4 over Uganda in the opening match of the day.
Fahad Nasir and Moh’d Said scored a brace each for Kenya as Mahdi Haksaw scored the other.
Towering forward, Roch Somoka scored two times for the Sand Cranes.
Uganda’s other goals came from Denis Sserukwaya and Abdul Karim Kibalama.
In the other game, Zanzibar triumphed 8-1 over Kilifi Select.

Talib Ame Soud starred with 5 individual goals.
Hussein Ramadhan Saleh and Yakoub Mohd Nassor scored the other goals for Zanzibar.
Abaud Omar had the consolation for Kilifi Select.
The group matches continue on Saturday afternoon with a match against Zanzibar.
Meanwhile, Kenya takes on the Kilifi Select team in the other game on the day.
This is the first time that the tournament is being held on the East African land.
This edition was organized in Malindi and sponsored by Kilifi County Government-Kenya.
Confederation of African Football (CAF) sanctioned the event.
