Barely three weeks to the long anticipated start of the Championships of African Nations (CHAN), the local organizing committee chairperson, Vincent Nzamwita has stated all the facilities are ready to use.

As quoted by Rwanda’s New Times, the Rwanda F.A president said;

Works at Amahoro National Stadium and Kigali Regional Stadium in Nyamirambo had been completed. There are only a few remaining activities on Huye and Umuganda Stadia but otherwise we are good to go.

The championship meant for domestic players in national leagues, will get underway on January 16 and run through to February 7.

The two facilities, along with the Huye and Umuganda (Rubavu) Stadiums will host the continent’s second biggest football tournament, which will attract 16 national teams in Africa.

The local organizing committee chairperson hinted of how Rwanda Housing Authority had assured that all construction works will be done before end of the year.
