After losing the 2015 National League title to Ndejje Elites, Vision Volleyball Camp can’t wait for the new calendar year to unfold.
The urge to get back to winning ways is lofty amongst the players and according to team captain Joan Nabbuto, the side will do all it takes to salvage what belongs to them.
“We shall be prepared to take on anyone, we will start our preparations early and that will help us a lot,” Nabbuto told Kawowo sports.
“We also want to help our junior players improve and be able to compete,” she added.
The side will represent Uganda at the Africa Club championship with a prime target of making the semifinals having finished 7th at the previous edition that was held in Cairo.
The challenge will now be even bigger for the Ugandan outfit at the event and Maria Nanfuka knows what exactly to expect at their second facade at the continental show piece.
“It will be tough, teams now know we exist and they will be ready for us,” she revealed. “Teams took us for granted in our first edition but it will be different this time round.”
The Hannington Nsubuga-coached side appeared at the 2015 event after lifting both the National League and the National Club Championship, they failed to retain the league this year but ably defended the club championship.
Whether the side will retain all their players cannot be confirmed as yet but the Namboole side is expect to add a few more players to their rota going into the new season.
