Last year, Kawowo Sports reported that games scheduled to be played at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds would take place at Uganda Christian University in Mukono due to the poor conditions of the playing surface.

The pitch has recuperated and according to the club officials, the ground is ready to host all the games as earlier scheduled on the rugby calendar.

The poor conditions of the main pitches (Kyadondo and Legends) saw the Union suspend the league until January 9th 2016 after just two games.

The league will now resume on Saturday and Kyadondo will host the toughest fixture of the weekend as defending champions Hima Heathens play host to Black Pirates, a fixture Heathens’ captain Michael Wockorach believes will be a tough one.

It’s a tricky one, coming back from the festive season to such a big game

The two sides are still unbeaten and top the table with Heathens at the helm.

Robert Sseguya’s charges are yet to concede any points in their first two games and will be looking to cement their spot at the top.
