CHAN 2016 Rwanda:
16th January – 7th February 2016
Typhoid has dented the chances of the impressive Bul F.C winger, Mike Ndera to make his debut with the senior national team, the Uganda Cranes.
The winger, whose impressive performances for the Jinja based team caught the attention of the Uganda Cranes technical team was among the 41 players summoned initially.
Incidentally, he never turned up for any training session after suffering contracting typhoid.
Bul F.C media officer, Joseph Mutaka comments on the condition of the player;
He is still bed ridden but steadily recovering. The Club (BUL F.C) has fully accorded him medication as per the contract under the medical insurance
Ndera is that orthodox right footed winger, full of energetic fancy runs down the flank. His absence will deprive the team of that natural width.
Similarly, Police F.C goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo was in the same boat (after suffering from illness on the eve of the first training last Saturday).
Head coach, Milutin Sredojevic trimmed the 41 squad to 26 and he will name the final 23 players in 24 hours.
The team is currently undergoing the residential training at the FUFA Technical center in Njeru.
