KCCA manager Mike Mutebi has confirmed loaning five players The Saints ahead of the second round of the 2015/16 Uganda Premier League season.
The soft spoken manager revealed this at a press conference where KCCA unveiled two new signings Farouk Kawooya and Petit Wanok who joined on two and half year deal and six months respectively.
The five players are defender Farouk Matovu; a June signing from Kamwokya United, midfielders Owen Kasule and Yasin Mugume, goalie Yasin Mugabi and striker Isaac Sserunkuma.
“We entered into a loan scheme with The Saints and our five players; Farouk Matovu, Owen Kasule, Yasin Mugume, Mugabi and Isaac Sserunkuma will feature for them in the second round.”
Club CEO David Tamale quashed reports that the club were going to loan another goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan to Police FC.
“It’s a rumor without base. As far as we are concerned, we are yet to receive any communication from Police FC in regards to that and am not sure we are interested in letting him go.”
Its speculated that KCCA are targeting Police FC goalie Douglas Kisembo as replacement for Mugabi.
