KCCA FC have categorically come out to rubbish claims by rivals Express FC who insist striker Ceaser Okhuti was illegally signed.

Okhuti was unveiled by KCCA on January 1 but this didn’t go well with Express FC where he featured in the first half of the season with club CEO Rami Hadji revealing his side is yet to release the striker and that the player still has a valid contract with the club..

Reacting to the news, KCCA CEO David Tamale said they went through all procedures and stated there was no need to deal with Express FC since the player was a free agent.

It’s a pity that Express FC doesn’t come out with the truth in regards to this matter. We signed Okhuti as a free agent and he is now fully registered with FUFA as a KCCA player.

Tamale added that even before signing the player, they made consultations with Express FC and they admitted having no contract.

We spoke to Express FC and they admitted they had no contract with the player. We even talked to the player and checked with the Federation and all was okay.

When Kawowo Sports talked to FUFA Player Status Committee Secretary Ali Mwebe, he said that as the FA, they have never received any complaints regarding the matter and all they know is that Okhuti is now a KCCA player.

We are yet to receive any official complaints and we regard Okhuti and all other signings made by KCCA as legal.
