KCCA Junior team (U-17) graduates Julius Poloto and Ronald Kikonyongo are ready for challenge that awaits them in the senior side.

The two players were officially promoted to the senior team after impressing in the FUFA Junior league prompting coaches Mike Mutebi and Sam Ssimbwa to promote them.

The function to initiate them to the senior side was officiated by KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi flanked by club chairman Julius Kabugo.

In her own words, an excited Musisi said the club’s target is to foster continuity and thanked the coaches for the good work.

“At KCCA, we believe in grooming young talent that will foster continuity. This is part of our efforts to build capacity at the club. Credit to our coaches who have worked with these boys and the parents that groomed them.”

Kikonyongo who was handed the legendary jersey eight by Musisi said. “It’s a challenge but one am excited to take up. Am ready for in order to repay faith in my coaches.”

Kikonyongo is a young brother to Uganda Cranes international midfielder Keziron Kizito who features for Vipers SC in the Uganda Premier League.

At the same function, Musisi handed a token of appreciation to the parents of the two players which included among others a Sofa Set.

The club also recognized the academies of the boys by giving them balls.
