CHAN 2016 Quarter Finals:
Saturday, 30th January 2016:
- Rwanda Vs DR Congo – Amahoro Stadium,Kigali
- Cameroon vs Ivory Coast – Stade Huye, Butare
Sunday, 31st January 2016:
- Tunisia vs Mali – Stade Regional Nyamirambo,Kigali
- Zambia vs Guinea – Umuganda Stadium,Rubavu
Following the successful completion of the group stage matches for the African Nations Championship (CHAN), focus now turns to the knock stages.
Twenty four (24) exciting matches were played over a period of eight days in the four groups.
Rwanda and Ivory Coast progressed from Group A, Tunisia and Guinea (B), DR Congo and Cameroon (C) as Zambia alongside Mali were the successful countries from Group D.
The ejected nations departed for the respective countries.
After a two day rest (Thursday and Friday), the quarter finals start on Saturday with two matches.
Hosts, Rwanda play DR Congo at the Amahoro Stadium in the first match before the second game later at Huye when Cameroon takes on Ivory Coast in an West African derby.
On Sunday, Tunisia plays Mali at the Kigali Regional Stadium in Nyamirambo in the first game and a couple of hours later, Zambia will take on Guinea at the Umuganda Utadium in Rubavu.
A new champion awaits to be crowned on Sunday, 7th February 2016 because the defending champions, Libya did not qualify for this year’s edition.
