Jinja Municipal Council Hippos Football Club have shocked Kenya Premier League side, Tusker with a 1-0 victory at the Kakindu stadium in the heart of Jinja town on Sunday evening.

Hardworking forward, Abdul Rajab Ajab scored the all-important strike in the 18th minute of the game watched by a partisan crowd.

Tusker head coach, Paul Nkata, a Ugandan signaled changes from the side that played Vipers a day earlier but the JMC side was determined for a positive result.

This has been the second build up game for the Kenyan club after Saturday’s goalless encounter with the Uganda Premier League reigning champions, Vipers Sports Club at Kitende.

The Tusker players will take a one day break on Monday before winding up the tour with the last build up against yet another Jinja side, Sadolin Paints.
