Ronald Sebuguzi picked from were he left off last season with a win in the National Rally season opener last weekend.
Navigated by Leon Senyange, they dominated the race with four stage wins to become the first winners of the Mbarara Rally after two years.
Sebuguzi told Kawowo Sports how his victory was a must.
We were very sure about the win, we did enough preparations and set our mind to it, so am not surprised that i won. However, it did not come easy because I had to fight most of the top drivers before some retired.
Sebuguzi is on a mission to secure his fourth NRC title and believes the Mbarara Rally victory is vital to his title chase.
Am so excited about this win and it will help to achieve my targets, its importance will reflect in the middle of the season when the fight has gotten stiffer.
The crew now tops the NRC standings with 100points into the next event in March.
