Yasin Nasser believes he can do much better this season after registering his first ever national rally finish in the Mbarara rally last weekend.

Nasser was sublime on day one finishing 11 seconds behind leader Duncan Mubiru.

He maintained his cautious pace in Mbarara to finish 8th overall; bagging 25 points on the NRC standings.

“Am so happy that I managed to have my first finish in Uganda, it has been a tough one starting from the preparations,” he said.

“Am sure this performance will become much better in the coming events,” he added.

Nasser cruised his newly acquired Subaru N10 which he believes complemented his finish.

“The car was so good and nice despite being new, we are just looking forward to achieve more with it,” he says.

He further hailed his Navigator Hussein Mukuye and the rest of the crew to the victory.

Nasser and Mukuye took part in three events last year but their attempts were drained due to mechanical problems.
