Uganda Cup 2015/16: Round of 64

For quick acclimatization, Vipers Sports club has traveled to the Eastern district of Bukedea for their round of 64 Uganda Cup match on Tuesday.

Home side, Bukedea Town Council who play in the Elgon Group of the FUFA Big League will host the reigning league champions on Wednesday in a Round of 64 battle at Bukedea Primary School.

The match was supposed to have been played on 24th January 2016 but the tie was pushed ahead because Vipers had six players with the Uganda Cranes team at the 2016 CHAN Championship in Rwanda.

The club’s new media officer, Sandra Awori, like the coach, George Best Nsiimbe completed a dream transfer to the Kitende based side.

In a statement on the club website;

The team has left for Bukedea by road on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the Wednesday clash

Apart from the calm but hard tackling midfielder Siraj Sentamu, defender Shafik Bakaki, winger John Ssemazzi and goalkeeper Ismail Watenga who are all injured, the rest of the team members have made the road trip.

The winner between Bukedea and Vipers will face Kasese New Villa on a date that will be set by the FUFA Competitions department.

Vipers Traveling team:

Goalkeepers: James Alitho and James Ahebwa

Defenders: Nicholas Wadada, Dan Bilikwalira, Musa Malunda, Halid Lwaliwa, Yusuf Mukisa and Deus Bukenya

Midfielders: Keziron Kizito,Patrick Ssembuya, Allan Kyambadde, Mike Mutyaba, Pius Wangi, Brian Nkuubi, Duncan Ssenindde, Saddam Ibrahim Juma

Strikers: William Wadri, Erisa Sekisambu
