After opening his account in the 1-0 win over Khartoum Al Watani, SC Villa midfielder Taddeo Lwanga targets more goals.

The summer signing from Express F.C has been a fulcrum of the team as far as the midfield is concerned but was yet to score for the club in a competitive game until last Saturday.

“Scoring is sweet,” he told Kawowo Sports at a media briefing at the club’s training ground at Villa Park. “I felt like I was in heaven. Getting a continental goal away from home makes me target more goals,” he added.

The excited midfielder hailed the entire team, management, coaching staff and team mates for the support.

“Although I scored, the most important thing was the team and I as an individual. I am grateful for the team effort right from top to the players.”

Lwanga is expected to be vital when the Blues host the Sudan outfit in the return leg at Nakivubo Stadium on Saturday, February 27.
