The BUL and Jinja Municipal Council Hippos encounter was no doubt one of the most awaited fixtures on the Azam Uganda Premier league rooster this second round.
Indeed, the match which was televised live to millions of soccer thirsty fans across the divide did not disappoint.
From the pre-match hype, preparations to the match day euphoria spiced by up the passionate fans, all provided the adrenaline moving instincts of a derby game for two sides that share the Kakindu stadium facility.
Robust forward, Mustapha Mugoya, who enjoyed a stint at relegated Entebbe F.C gave Municipal the lead, just nine minutes into the game.
For the rest of the half, there were a couple of missed half chances, boiled emotions from the players as the game headed to the mandatory half time break with Hippos still in the lead.
BUL F.C were the most desparate side when the second stanza of the game returned.
Yunus Sibira made the amends mid-way the second half with a sublime finish and the game ended all square.
BUL, who were taken as the home team on the day earns the first point of the second round following the disastrous outing away to SCVU when they lost 3-1 at Nelson Mandela National stadium on match day 16.
The positive though, Sibira scored his second goal in two successive matches and the match ended violence free.
JMC Hippos now has 23 points, one better of rivals BUL F.C as the two sides lie 9th and 10th on the 16 team table standings.
