Western Region League 2015/16:
Bwizibwera Welden F.C 1-1 Mbarara Soccer Academy Sentah College F.C
The highly anticipated Western region derby match between Bwizibwera Welden and Mbarara Soccer Academy Sentah College at Kakyeeka stadium ended all square, producing the sparks and thrills on Sunday evening.
Passionate football fans thronged the stadium five hours to the match well aware of the significance for the fixture.
The opening twenty minutes of the game belonged to Sentah College who dominated with short crispy passing involving Nasir Saddam, Jackson Atugonza and skipper Muhammed Matovu.
Atugonza shot inches wide in the 9th minute before Matovu missed a one-on-one incident with goalie Ronald Kayima six minutes later.
Welden were forced into a first half change when Bryan Assimwe replaced a limping Timothy Katende in the 35th minute.

With the opening first destined for a climax, Bacey Bogere curled a free-kick 40 yards from goal over the wall to give Welden the command a minute to the break.
The goal was treated with loud and wild celebrations from the packed gallery.
When the second half came up, Sentah College’s technical bench introduced Joseph Katta for Ronald Gumisiriza.
The change further energized their attack.
After a quick interplay between Matovu and Saddam, the former set up Atugonza whose sublime finish past the advancing goalie Kayima was as eye catching for the deserved equalizer ten minutes into the second half.
Crispus Mujuni had a chance to beat Santah’s goalkeeper Sekajja from about 10 yards but his free header sailed out.
There was no further enticing action for the remainder of the half.
Bwizibwera – Welden called for two more changes when Najibu Wasswa paved way for Abdul Moshi in the 64th minute and later a wasteful Crispus Mujuni was replaced by Sadat Kabuye.
MSA Sentah replaced Elias Lukwago for another Elias entity, Musa as Ronald Gumiziriza was replaced for a more enterprising Joseph Katta.
The derby game ended with fans calm as each side smiled home with a point earned.
Sentah College is second with 23 points, one behind leaders Nyamityabora as Welden is third with 19 points.
Only one side shall be promoted to the FUFA Big League for the season 2016/17.

Injuries to my star players cost me to make forced substitutions especially in the first half. Overall, it was a good game although the referees wanted to outshine the players in the derby. They were sub-standard for such a high profile match
