The Saints FC vs. Sadolin Paints – Namboole, 4:30 pm

Sadolin Paints who lost 3 games in a row prior to their last game will look to build on Friday’s goalless draw when they visit high flying The Saints at Nambole Stadium on Tuesday.

The Jinja side has dropped to 12th place on the table following a poor run of results that has seen them manage only one point from the possible 12 in the last four games.

As the league approaches to its evening, alarm bells must be ringing at Sadolin. They are just 7 points above the drop zone and a loss on Tuesday would put them on a tricky position.

In all fairness to them though, they have had to deal with tough fixtures. A 2-1 home loss to Soana at the beginning of the second round was followed by trips to 2011 league champions Express and defending champions Vipers where they lost 4-0 and 2-0 respectively.

The Saints have shown signs of progressive improvement under the new coach Moses Basena.

They come into the fixture as favourites a thing one would never have thought of three months ago. An excellent 3-1 win over Bul FC on 23 Feb and a tremendous 4-0 victory over Soana lifted Basena’s charges from the relegation zone up to 13th on the table.

Following their brilliant and convincing performances in their last 2 games , the fans will hope for the same to continue and a victory on Tuesday would see them win 3 in a row a thing they’re yet to do this season.

The belief and confidence in this Basena side makes them the favourites ahead of their tie.

The Saints go into this encounter at full strength with only Mbowa who’s down with Malaria at the sidelines.

The Saints lie 13th on the table with 16 points, 7 off Sadolin who are twelveth.
