The East and Central Africa netball Club Championship has been postponed following requests from Kenyan clubs to give them more time to accumulate resources for the show piece.
The event has been pushed to April as clubs strive to collect more funds to spend while in Uganda. Kenya Netball Federation secretary general, Lilian Anuppi, told The Star the body had sent a formal notice requesting for postponement.
“I had requested Uganda to consider postponing the event because most of the teams didn’t have funds and I am happy to announce that our prayers have duly been answered.”
April 2-9 has been marked as the new time period for the event.
