CAF Confederation Cup: Second Round, Return Leg

As the 16 man Sports Club Villa Jogoo squad left Kampala by road in the morning hours of Wednesday for the Indian Ocean island of Zanzibar, coach Ibrahim Kirya believes the return leg fixture against JKU is far from finish.

In an interview before the team set off, Kirya told Kawowo Sports that they will mean business to ensure progress;

We want to finish the job.

We shall not relax because football is football. You relax, the opposition wakes up

The Jogoos carry a 4-0 cushion from the first leg that was played at the Nelson Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

Club coach, Ibrahim Kirya assured Kawowo Sports a spirited display away from home to ensure qualification to the second round stage.

From the team that played at Namboole, only two players Fahad Muhammed Tokko and Martin Kizza have been left behind.

The other 16 players on the squad will make a stop-over in Dar es Salaam.

Jonathan ‘Dante’ Mugabi is the team skipper.
