Pirates vs. Heathens – Legends, 4:30pm
Black Pirates have been in shambles since the start of the second round of the Rugby Premiership.
Losses to Ezeey Money Rhino and Mutoni Warriors have depicted the exact opposite of a Pirates’ side that held Heathens to a 17 all draw at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds in the first stanza of the league.
The league schedule doesn’t help matters for the Legends side though as they host on-form Hima Cement Heathens on Saturday in what is normally expected to be a close contest, that most recent results suggest a ride in the park for Robert Sseguya’s troops.
“We haven’t played well in the second round and we have to work on that,” Pirates’ head coach, Anthony Kinene revealed to Kawowo Sports early this week.
With Betway Kobs playing Mutoni Warriors earlier, Heathens could find themselves nine points off the pace before their kickoff should the table leaders register a bonus point win.
Heathens have won nine of the season so far and have a solitary loss and a draw from their first eleven games.
The first round battle between the two sides saw Heathens fail to use their numerical advantage as Pirates played over 60 minutes with a man less.
