The second round of the National Rally Championship has been postponed to April.

Organisers of the Gorillas in the Mist Rally that was due to take place on 25-28th March say the outbreak of  Rift Valley fever in Kabale district would present a high risk to the event.

“Due to the outbreak of the rift valley fever in Kabale and after a consultation with the federation together with Ministry of Health, we decided to reschedule the rally to next month,” said Kees Kagolo, the event manager of the rally in the press release.

“The change has been made to allow further observations and time for health officials to manage this outbreak,” he added
The Kabale Rally will run from 8-10th April.

Over 20 crews had registered for the event including those from Rwanda and Burundi.

The event is will score not only on the Ugandan championship but also on Rwanda as well as the East African Challenge Champions.
