Burkina Faso Vs Uganda – Ouagadougou
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has failed in its bid to secure a chartered plane for Uganda Cranes for the trip to Ouagadougou where they take on Burkina Faso in an AFCON qualifier.
This was confirmed by the FUFA boss Moses Magogo in a Facebook post where he revealed that the Cranes will travel by Ethiopian Airways confirming the federation has already secured tickets for the trip.
“It is now official that Uganda Cranes will travel by Ethiopian Airways to Ouagadougou-Burkina Faso,” the post partly reads. “FUFA has secured the tickets for the players to come from their bases and also for the flight to Burkina Faso,” he added.
The national team advance party is expected in Burkina Faso on March 21st five days to the highly billed tie and the team will leave on Thursday 24, play the game two days later and return on the eve of the return match due at Namboole on Tuesday March 29.
“The advance party will be in Ouagadougou by 21st March 2016. The plan is to depart Thursday Night and return on Monday.”
In the same post, Magogo called for fans to come in numbers and cheer the Cranes but also advised on them buying genuine match day tickets and jerseys for the flood night encounter.
“As managers of the logistics off-the-field we are doing our best to provide the best conditions for the coaches and the players to execute their on-the-field assignment. The role of the fans in this is to buy genuine tickets and shirts and coming to give the 12th player on 29th March 2016 at 7:00PM e Namboole.”
Uganda still tops the group with six points from two games while Burkina Faso follows in second with two less.
