The football coaching job continues to prove that it is one of the most risky and unsafe occupation on planet earth.
Less than 48 hours after Jinja club, BUL F.C had slapped a forced sick leave unto Alex Isabirye, the army footballing wing at Bombo where Simba F.C is based has suspended their head coach, Morley Byekwaso.
A club statement that Kawowo Sports got a copy clearly states how Byekwaso, a former Uganda Cranes midfielder has been relieved of his duties until further notice because of unsatisfactory results.
The army side is battling relegation having won just three games in the 19 outings.
Efforts to get a comment from Byekwaso proved futile since his known mobile phone contact was unavailable.
Byekwaso officially started his duties at Simba on 11th July 2015 from cash stripped Sports Club Victoria University.
This season alone (2015/16), a couple of head tacticians and coaching assistants have left or being suspended by their clubs for varying reasons.
Richard Wasswa left Vipers, Asaph Mwebaze (Maroons), Harunah Kebba (The Saints), Alex Isabirye (BUL) and now Byekwaso at Simba.
Byekwaso’s Coaching Profile:
– While still an active player, Byekwaso coached Luzira United that had the likes of Saddam Juma, Emma Okwi and Muwadda Mawejje among others.
– He also coached another Luzira based side called Ngege FC.
– He was also part of the coaching staff at Proline for the Junior side
– Joined KCC FC as third assistant to Matia Lule and Baker Mbowa in 2011/12 campaign but was later appointed interim coach after the two were sacked.
