With nine minutes to time, the visitors launched a long ball which resulted into a corner and from that, Camara shot direct at Arnold Origi who parried the ball away but his body ended up into the net and as the Kenyans were clearing danger, the first assistant signaled goal.

This called for protests from the hosts’ players to the officials and the fans followed suit throwing objects the Guinean players.

The match officials from Zimbabwe were forced to stop the game for over half an hour with anti-riot police firing teargas into the stands and when calmness was restored, play resumed with the fourth officials signaling six minutes.

There was no change in the score line and the result leaves Harambee Stars at the base of Group E with only a point whilst the West Africans now top the standings with seven points.

Congo Brazzaville and Zambia face off in the other group encounter.
