Maxime Van Pee, Fatuh Kiggundu and Fortune Sentamu stood out in round two of the national MX championship at the Motorsports Arena Busiika on Easter Sunday.
The trio were dominate on the day, comfortably sweeping all heats in their respective classes.
Van Pee and Kiggundu extended their lead in the MX1 and MX2 categories.
“I enjoyed the race, my bike was really moving well unlike before thats why I was able to do better today,” says Sentamu.
He now ties with Ben Nsumba on 100points in the MX85cc class after round two.
Meanwhile Stephane Okenge topped the MX125 while Imran Nkurunziza headed MX65 with Malcom Lubega and Milton Akaki in second and third.
The battle for the juniors had Isabella Blick scooping the MX50 ahead of Marcus Bukenya and Gift Sebuguzi while William Blick topped the MX50(peewee) with Miguel Katende and Kauthar Keeza in second and third.
The highlight of the day was the battle between Arthur Blick, Van Pee and South Africa’s female rider Brittany Cuthbert.
Cuthbert may have lost the battle to Van Pee but showed the class of a champion she is.
The regional MX event is the next on the calendar scheduled for April 29th-1st May in Kenya.
