JMC Hippos 3-1 Bright Stars

Ivan Lubaale scored a brace as JMC Hippos beat visiting Bright Stars 3-1 at Kakindu on Saturday.

The visitors who were without head coach Fred Kajoba who is still admitted at Nakasero Hospital went down 14 minutes after kick off with skipper Bernard Muwanga scoring into his own net.

Farouk Banga leveled matters for the Stars scoring in the 35th minute but three minutes after recess, Lubaale restored the Hippos’ lead.

The striker completed his brace in the 73rd minute to condemn the Kawempe based side to their second successive defeat after losing to The Saints 1-0 before the international break.

James Odoch’s side move to fifth on the table with 33 points whilst Bright Stars stay eighth with 29.
