Soana 5-2 Bul

On their day, Soana Football Club has a knack of scoring goals – many goals.

Prior to the Uganda Premier League match with Bul F.C on Saturday at Kavumba Recreational Stadium, Soana had scored four goals against Sports Club Victoria University.

Inside seven minutes, Chalres Ayiekho’s men were already up thanks to Allan Kayiwa. Before Bul could settle for a response, veteran winger Dan Wagaluka had doubled Soana’s lead.

Ten minutes later, all seemed like the Bul had been knocked out of the game when Simon Okwi found the net in the 27th minute for Soana’s third.

After the half hour mark, talisman Milton Kalisa pulled one back for Bul and as halftime approached, midfielder Augustine Nsumba scored the second for the Jinja based side.

At 3-2 to the home side, fans were in for a cracking second half as momentum had shifted in favour of the visitors.

However, it was the hosts who scored the fourth through Musa Esenu to put to bed any hopes of Bul earning a point from the game.

The forward completed his brace in the 76th minute to seal the victory for Soana who put four past SCVU in the second half in their last game.

The win lifted Soana to fourth place with 34 points while the loss dropped Bul to the twelfth place on the 16 team Log.
