The 2016 Senior Pool League cued off over the weekend with the summer big spenders Hotpool winning an away match against Masindi’s Redshooters in an 18-7 win at Sure Guest House in Masindi.

2009 National Open Champion Fred ‘Bonde’ Namanya and Seed 5 Humphrey Nsubuga were Hotpool’s heroes of the day scoring five out of the five frames while newly signed and seed 4 Alfred ‘Black’ Gumikiriza scored four out of Five.

Habib Sebuguzi scored three out of the five frames.

Defending champions, Skin Samona cued off on a home victory, triumphing 14-11 win over Kampala Road Based side Boat Pool Club.

Skin Samona won through Amos Ndyagumanawe, Joseph Kasozi, Uthman Kasozi, Dan Mubiru and Fahad Sewankambo.

In the other games on the day, Masaka-based club Trust & Obey Klein lost to newly promoted Maga at their Home in Nyendo Masaka with 12-13.

Indigo also had a good start with a 17-8 win over BetWay at Indigo thanks to Richard Kizito and Mahad Mivule’s great Performance while Anchors survived Capital Night with a 13-12 win at Oceans Kitintale.


There was also action in the ladies’ category. Reigning champions Skin Samona had an easy win over Boat with 8-1 while CKI also enjoyed Rock Catalina with 8-1 win.
