Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) is one sports body that has gradually grown from scratches.
Five years since inception, the Federation has had an organized calendar, sent national teams and individual players to international meets and built a home found in Mengo, Kampala.
This Saturday, UWbF will be unveiling a new product, the first piloting Woodball League at MUBS, Nakawa campus in Kampala.

The Woodball League was a recommendation of the 8th UWbF Annual Congress held on January 30, 2016.
Teams will compete in Fairway Team events from which they will accumulate points for ranking.
Previously, players have been accumulating points from Beach and Corporate Woodball Circuits individually.
“This ‘Pilot’ league will enable UWbF come up with points awarding and ranking system; and other formalities of running the league. From the ‘Pilot’ League, UWbF will assess the feasibility of the league before its commencement in 2017” Kateregga adds.
Teams already confirmed for the ‘Pilot’ Woodball League include Botladz Woodball Club, Zoe Woodball Club, Stroke Woodball Club, MUBS, KIU, St. Joseph’s Technical Institute Kisubi, and UNEB Woodball Team.
This weekend’s fixtures include Zoe Woodball Club Vs Botladz Woodball Club and MUBS Vs KIU in the men and women categories respectively. All games will start at 3pm.
