The Korea bound Uganda Woodball World Cup bound team is short of $10,610 (atleast Shs 37M).

The total budget for the entire contingent of 13 members (that has 7 players and 6 officials) was $33,810. Uganda Woodball Federation managed to raise $22,470 with a deficit of $10,610.

This was revealed by the Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) president, Paul Mark Kayongo on Saturday as the team set to travel was disclosed to the media at MUBS, Nakawa.

Kayongo, who is also the Africa Woodball Federation boss noted;

We have a financial requirement of $10,610 (atleast Shs37M) before departure on Monday, 23rd May 2016

Donations:

So, far, the Uganda National Council of Sports (NCS) and the department of physical education and sports have contributed 2 return tickets to the team.

The chairman of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Uganda, Dr. Jeff Lin contributed Shs1M, Bank of Uganda sponsored Norbert Dramani, William Osire Likiriat and Godwin Ssenyondo Nakaana as Ndejje University has managed a return air ticket.

This will be the fourth year that Uganda is playing at the woodball world cup.

Players: Isaac Ariho, Onesmus Atamba, Norbert Dramani, Charity Nagaba, William Likiriat Osire, Godwin Nakaana Ssenyondo, Lillian Zawedde

Officials: Mark Paul Kayondo (Head of delegation), George Isabirye (Head coach), Sarah Nakajubi (Referee), Thomas Muruka Ochola (Media attache), Shiiya Kenichi (Work shop participant), Joseph Collins Ssemanda (Workshop participant)
