When you are a Warriors’ player, the last team you want to lose to is Power.
But, Pemba Warriors didn’t show that in their latest game with the five time champions and guard Mark Opio is more than worried.
“I don’t even know what to say, we simply didn’t turn up for the game and that has to change,” he told Kawowo Sports on Friday night.
While he had a team high 19 points, Opio believes it will take a collective effort for the team to go places this season.
“We have to play as a team otherwise we are dead. People have to practice and show more commitment on the floor,” he added.
Many have singled out inconsistence of the players at the training ground in Kyambogo as the reason the players are yet to hit the expected hype.
“This is a good lesson and hopefully we shall all wake up as a team,” Opio, who ignored interest from other big clubs and committed to stay at Warriors, added.
Like in their first game of the season, Warriors switched off in the last bit of the game and sadly for them, they had not scored enough points to win the game this time round.
