To gel best with the players, Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has been forced to enroll for special luganda language lessons.

On Friday evening during the final training session at Francistown sports complex ahead of the clash with Botswana, the Serbian coach could communicate in special luganda dialects to the players in a bid to drive his message faster and in a convenient way.

Micho occasionally passed the message home with  couple of luganda parlances; Tambuula (move), Guulawo (open), Jangu wano (come here), Akayumba (small games of passing the ball in groups), Samba (play the ball), lumba (attack) as he appreciated good deeds with ‘Webale nnyo’ phase, loosely translated thank you so much.

The players freely cracked jokes and enjoyed themselves to the brim as they warmed up in the ‘Akayumba’.

Such was the lighter mood as training progressed at the beautiful sports complex inaugurated in the year, 2015.

Prior to the main session, Micho, as usual assembled the training cones with his assistants Fred Kajoba (goalkeeping coach) and Moses Basena.

The team medical team of Ronald Kisolo and Ivan Ssewanyana graced the opportunity, casting aside the kits  to limber around the field of play – in a quest to maintain body fitness.

Thereafter, the outfield players embarked on ball work, short sprints, pressing, shooting and defending.

Meanwhile, the two goalkeepers, Denis Onyango and Robert Odongkara perfected their respective acts with the veteran Kajoba.

This defined Uganda Cranes’ last session on the day ahead of clash with Burkina Faso on Saturday.

“We are ready for action on Saturday” defender Murushid Jjuuko noted.

Uganda is joint second in group D alongside Burkina Faso with seven points.

Botswana is third with six points on the log as Comoros lies bottom with three points.

As Uganda will be playing Botswana in Francistown, Comoros shall be hosting Burkina  Faso.
