The fourth round of the National Rally Championship continued to prove Jas Mangat is miles ahead of the rest.

Mangat has won the last three NRC events; dominating in most events.

Currently all top drivers’ satisfaction in an event would be beating Mangat, even just taking a stage off him is commendable.

His charms have not only caught fellow competitors but also the fans who are always delighted to see him race.

“It feels good that we can set the pace and am happy we are competing and I can see the pace coming up from fellow competitors trying to get us,” he said.

“That is the same reason we went to Kenya to benchmark against fast drivers hence improving on our pace,” he added.

He insists that planning is also a major attribute to his good performance.

“Good preparation ahead of the rally is key plus consistency, hard work and concentration on the road.”

Meanwhile, Mangat commented on the scenario when he shunned to open the routes in the just concluded Fort Portal rally despite his experience.

“Honestly I have led the road many times but its about principles, we have strategies for everything, opening the routes calls for another strategy which we hadn’t planned.”

“So when Sebuguzi decided to take the penalty we did not see any loss after all he was our main rival and he was losing more than us,” he asserted.

Mangat and Joseph Kamya now lead the NRC with 300points; 85points ahead of Sebuguzi.

The pair is expected to take on the ARC event in Tanzania due July 8-10th in which they will score NRC points.

“We are now looking forward to our next event in Tanzania, we shall switch one of the remaining events.”

“We hope to collect enough points and see our next strategy back here,”  says Mangat.
