The Green Light stadium found in Ayivu county, Arua municipality is the proud home of newly promoted Uganda Premier league club, Onduparaka.
For obvious reasons, this will be one of the most intimidating grounds in the mainstream premier league next season since the club has not a home game in the past 2 years in all competitions.
Early preparations to have the stadium fixed and meet the requirements set by the FUFA Club licencing committee are set to take effect early July 2016.
According to the FUFA Club licencing committee chairperson, Dr Bernard Patrick Ogwel, a club in the top flight premier league has to be with the full measurements of the playing ground (with grass), an internal perimeter fencing for players’ and officials’ safety, standard dressing rooms, stadium toilet facilities and at least one training ground.
Such are the requirements for any club to be accorded a working licence of the 2016/17 new season.

Onduparaka Chief Executive Officer, Joe Erema acknowledges the task of work at hand is a huge one though attained;
We shall start with the perimeter fencing and patching of the the barren playing ground by early July 2016.
We also have a plan to extend the stadium outer fencing after the full blessing of Onduparaka primary school management.
We shall also put up a standard dressing room facility with toilet facilities.
Erema does not commit himself on projected total cost of the entire project but predicts it may cost over Ug.shs 50M.

Onduparaka’s second option is developing the club’s land at Awindiri, about 5 KM from Arua town.
The club has defied all the odds to top the Elgon group and get promoted to the top flight league and have also reached the finals of the Uganda Cup.
They are set to play Vipers in the much awaited final on Saturday, 18th June 2016 at Nakivubo stadium.
