Uganda Cranes’ Micheal Azira and colleagues were last minute winners at a sold-out Dick’s Sporting Goods Park after Colorado Rapids grabbed a late goal to beat Chicago Fire on Saturday.

Rapids took the lead when Kevin Doyle thumped home his third of the season following a defensive mix-up by Chicago in the 57th minute.

Joey Calistri found the equalizer for Chicago Fire in the 81st minute from close range off Rodrigo Ramos’ cleverly nodded ball into the area.

An 89th-minute strike from the returning Marco Pappa secured all three points for Colorado Rapids late on to hand Pablo Mastroeni’s men top spot in the Western conference.

Azira played the whole match after getting some rest when Rapids overcame Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in the 4th round of U.S. Open Cup 1-0.
