Uganda Cranes’ striker Davis Kasirye has continued to enjoy the rich goal scoring form.

After scoring for the Kigali based club in the top flight mid-week, the lanky forward was on target once again on Sunday, this time in the cup competition.

Rayon Sport, last year’s losing finalists humiliated Miroplast 8-0 in a completely one sided encounter played at the Kicukiro stadium.

Kasirye, who recently earned his first cap with Uganda Cranes against Zimbabwe was the architect in four goals scored as he managed to register two of his own.

In the other matches, defending champions Police walloped Rugende 6-0 at the Mumena ground, Isonga overcame Etoile de l’est 2-0, Kiyovu humiliated Intare 7-0 as Sun Rise had an easy ride over SEC Academy with a 4-1 home triumph.

Elsewhere, Espoir defeated Gasabo United 4-1, Gicumbi outwitted Pepiniere 2-1, the same score that Etincelles overcame Pepiniere.

Favourites AS Kigali, home to another Ugandan (goalie Shamiru Batte) gritted their teeth to get a 2-0 result at the hands of second division side, Vision football club.

George Ssemwogerere’s Musanze pulled out of the tournament to grant La Jeunesse the advantage.

Another club, Rwamagana City which was supposed to play Amagaju also withdrew from the knockout tournament whose winner represents Rwanda at the CAF Confederation cup.

The next round will be played on 22nd June 2016 at various venues.
