Reigning World female Lightweight kickboxing champion, Patricia Apolot has received a timely boost of U.shs 50M from Hima Cement.

The package which takes the shape of cash and material will last for the next 12 months.

Hima Cement marketing director, Allan Ssemakula announced the package to the media on Tuesday at Lake Heights Hotel in Entebbe.

Apolot is a world champion.

We are supporting her with this package of U.shs 50M for one year to help further in  preparation of the upcoming fights

Apolot, 25, on Tuesday traveled to Hungary for the world kickboxing championship.

She appreciated the offer and promised to put the money into good use.

“Hima Cement has given me the key to open the treasure box. This offer is helpful and I will put it to the best use” she vowed.

 She has won various titles in the past. Besides being the world kickboxing federation international title holder in the female lightweight division, she won a gold medal in the East Africa interclub boxing championship in 2013 and the 2014 national kickboxing championship.

She is the reigning Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) female kickboxer of the year, 2015.
