Bright Stars defensive duo, Benard Muwanga and Joseph Nsubuga have successfully concluded talks and agreed the favourable terms with the 16 time record league winners, Sports Club Villa.
This has followed a series of negotiations between the players (who were still contracted), Bright Stars and SC Villa officials.
A top brass Bright Stars official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not the official mouth piece of the Matugga based club disclosed the news to Kawowo Sports;
Everything was concluded and the players are free to join SC Villa.
Their financial terms will not be disclosed but what I can assure you is that they got the club’s blessings
Muwanga, who has been the longest serving member of the club and committed captain over the years is an orthodox center half.
He is often employed as a defensive midfielder in most matches he has played for the Uganda Cranes (especially at CECAFA 2015 and CHAN 2016).
Muwanga envisages crossing to SC Villa as a stepping stone in his career.
Speaking to Kawowo Sports at Lugogo, Muwanga said;
In life, we face big decisions.
I have served Bright Stars with all my heart and I will live to love the club when I leave or retire finally. At one moment, someone has to exploit the best offers available.
Nsubuga on the other hand masks a reserved persona on and off the field of play.
He is a robust right back with wide lungs to accommodate his marauding runs down the flank.
The two players are regular figures on the national team.
