The Uganda National Women’s football team (Crested Cranes) commenced preparations for the high profile international friendly against Kenya with a non residential session held at the KCCA stadium, Lugogo on Wednesday afternoon.

Under the head coach Majidah Natanda, 24 of the 26 players summoned on Tuesday turned up for the two hour session.

Nantandah told the media;

The players do not need hard training because they have just completed the session, they need light training.

The friendly will help fine tune the two countries ahead of the 2016 CECAFA Women Championship in September that will take place in Uganda.

Kenya will also gauge their team ahead of AFCON finals in December.

Team training continues on Thursday evening at Lugogo.
