Boys: Kenya 59-72 Uganda
Uganda’s U-18 girls and boys will player at this year’s FIBA Africa Championships in Cairo, Egypt and Kigali, Rwanda respectively.
This follows a successful completion of the zonal qualifiers at Lugogo Indoor Stadium on Sunday night.
After wining the first game on Saturday, Ugandan girls went on to win the second game 71-62 to make the continental showpiece and the excitement after the final horn was visible across the Arena.
Small in size, smart in mind and play, the Uganda once again used their swiftness to get the better of the Kenyans who looked much improved.

It was the same script for the boys as the saw off their Kenyan counterparts 72-59 in the subsequent game.
Henry Okoth scored 20 points to go with 10 boards to lead Uganda. Ivan Muhwezi added 19 points, Matthew Ochieng scored 17 points and picked 19 rebounds.
For Kenya, Bramwel Chevai had game high 24 points in a losing effort and so was Teddy Ochieng’s 19.
The Ugandan boys will make a short trip to Rwanda for the continental championships slated for July 22-31.
