Hassan Alwi secured a second successive victory in the Autocross Championship at Nsimbe Fiduga Estates. 

The Subaru driver raced through a total competitive distance of 15km posting the fastest time of 19 minutes and 3seconds.

The win could boost his confidence ahead of the fifth round of the mainstream rally championship next weekend.

In second position was Andy Musoke who hit a second podium in his third competitive event of his rally career.

Musoke in his Mitsubishi Evo 6 finished 1minute, 5seconds behind leader Alwi.

“The race was great, we went to test and were amazed with what the car can do if only we had better shocks,” he said.

Sabiiti Muyanja finished third overall to take Autocross championship lead.

13-year-old Ali Omar Yasser had a superb performance on his buggy settling for fourth position.

“It was a nice race, I didn’t face mechanical challenges like it has been before,” said Yasser.

Yasser is now second on the Autocross championship 4 points behind leader Muyanja.

Meanwhile, the second round of 4×4 challenge also took course with John Bosco Nkumbi extending his lead after topping the race with fastest time of 7minutes and 15seconds.

Frank Tatya came second followed by Vincent Achidri in third.
