After he convincingly finished fifth in the fourth round of National rally championship in Fort Portal, Ambrose Byona is optimistic he can move up in the positions during the weekend Kabalega rally in Hoima and Masindi.
‘Katoto’ as his commonly referred to targets a top finish from the unfamiliar Bunyoro region routes.
“I am very prepared for Hoima rally, it will be same strategy as we target to do better than our previous event,” says Byona.
Katoto confesses that he will be up to take advantage of the leaders misfortune.
“I will ensure I stay tightly in the mix and wait for them to make mistakes as they chase championship points.
Byona is currently 8th on the NRC standings tying with Duncan Mubiru and Kuku Ranjeet on 75points.
A top finish in Kabalega rally will not only ascend his performance but also his position on the NRC.
Byona will have Derrick Lubambula call the pace notes in his Mitsubishi Evo9
