Uganda Cranes’ striker Yunus ‘Manucho’ Sentamu on Sunday played his first game since transferring to Finnish club, Ives.
The home side fought from a goal down to make amends at their Tammelassa stadium before at least 4000 passionate fans.
David Bitsindoy gave the visiting side a 10th minute lead when he beat Mika Hilander for the opener.
Two minutes later, Lauri Ala-Myllymäki restored parity with a cool effort for the equalizer.
Although there were no further goals, either sides showed intent to seal off the game with various attempts.
Sentamu featured 25 minutes in the game after coming on for the goal scorer, Myllymaki in the 65th minute.
The former Vipers, AS Vita and CS Safien striker was denied twice by the alert Serbian goalie Pavle Milosavljevic.
Sentamu, already capped eight times for Uganda Cranes (with three goals to his name) shot four times at goal and laid one golden ball in the area.
Ilves’ next match is the 85th year anniversary celebrations fixture against Valencia on 30th July, 2016.
