After getting Coach Abdallah Mubiru on a three year deal, Vipers have further strengthened their technical bench by adding John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda who joins from KCCA.

Ayala, as famously known around football circles is a CAF ‘C’ Coaching license holder and has been part of the KCCA backroom coaching staff since 2011 when he retired from the playing.

The former SC Villa, Water and KCCA player has signed a three year deal with the Uganda Cup winners and thus re-united with not only Mubiru but also George ‘Best’ Nsimbe with whom they won back to back titles at Lugogo.

“I feel great because it’s one of the best and highly ranked teams in Uganda, I believe it will improve my career as a coach,” Luyinda said as quoted by Vipers’ website.

“I pledge hard work and commitment to help Vipers achieve more for years to me,” he promised.

The soft spoken budding tactician is a great reader of the game and has been the Kasasiro’s unsung hero in the previous five successful years in which they have won three league titles and reached the finals of the Uganda Cup on two occasions.

Besides coaching, he is a good administrator and has been the man responsible for keeping statics at Lugogo and also handled every bit of paper work including player licensing.

Luyinda was unveiled on Tuesday to the players at Kitende and immediately started work.

His combination with Mubiru and Nsimbe is expected to steer the Venoms to greater heights in the domestic competitions as well as the CAF Confederations Cup where the club will represent Uganda next year.

He has been in third command at KCCA behind Mike Mutebi and Morley Byekwaso.
