Serena International Hotel, Kampala (6:00 p.m – 10:00 p.m)
What better reward deserves a footballer who has toiled all season long than a brand new Subaru Forester?
The most prestigious award (Most Valuable Player) at the 2016 Uganda Premier League Awards will come forth with that vehicle, registration number UAZ 038F.
The prize was displayed before the media at the Nelson Mandela Stadium tartan on Tuesday morning.
FUFA Super League Limited (FSLL) board vice chairman, David Serebe, flanked by the Uganda Premier League manager Paul Kabaikaramu, FSL board member Humfrey Mandu and the head of communications at UPL, Axam Ssenkanyi graced the brief ceremony.

“We want to encourage as many footballers as they are in this country to play football,” Serebe noted.
The best upcoming player will get a plaque on top of a smart phone while the best coach of the season will be given a brand new flat screen Television set.
Uganda national U-20 and Vipers’ defender Halid Lwaliwa, Sadolin goalie Mathias Muwanga as well as Uganda Cranes and KCCA’s Joseph Ochaya got the most nominations – two apiece.
