Bright Stars’ Coach Fred Kajoba went home a satisfied man after his side held Vipers to 1-1 draw in their league opener at Nakivubo.
Fred Segujja scored on his debut for the Kawempe side in the first half before Ibrahim Kayiwa replied in the second half.
“A point off Vipers in your first game is never bad,” he said. “Like I said before kickoff, we didn’t prepare enough in comparison to them. Am satisfied,” he added.
The former Simba tactician however admits his side’s performance was average but gave the boys credit for stopping Vipers’ creative channels in fullbacks and midfielder Kezironi Kizito.
“The performance calls for improvement but the boys fought hard. Besides, we did stop their overlapping fullbacks from being offensive and we also put halt to Kezironi Kizito. I think that’s where we won a point.”
Kajoba’s side welcomes Onduparaka in the next game at CS Mwererwe and thus says the focus turns to that particular game.
“All attention shifts to that game for now. They are good a side but we shall plan for them accordingly.”
