FC  Midtjylland 2-2 Sonderjyske Fodbold

Uganda Cranes forward Emmanuel Arnold Okwi enjoyed a rare and full start in Sonderjyske Fodbold’s hard earned 2-2 draw against FC Midtjylland in the Danish Premier League at the MCH Arena on Sunday.

It was a tale of two own goals from either sides that determined the final result of the game played in Haderslev City.

The visitors took the lead through Nicolaj Madsen in the opening eight minutes.

Another minute later, the home team piled immense pressure to force Pierre Kanstrup’s own goal against the run of play.

It was Kian Hansen’s long throw that caused the havoc in the backline for the unfortunate own goal as the half time ended one goal apiece.

Fodbold’s goalie Skender parried a cross that struck Kanstrup’s knee on the way out for the equalizer.

Midtjylland took the lead for the first time in the game when Filip Novak headed home a long throw.

Second half substitute Uhre had his 90th minute cross diverted in by Midtjylland defender for the late dramatic own goal.

Okwi threatened with his customary quick breaks and one nearly yielded Sonderjyske the deserved equalizer when he was fouled at the 18 yard mark with two minutes to the game death.

The resultant free-kick was missed but the hard earned point was good enough away from home.

Sonderjyske Fodbold XI:
