Uganda Cranes midfielder, Farouk Miya was drifted to Standard Liege’s U-21 side, the Young Rounches.
Standard Leige U-21 team overcame Westerlo 4-1 in a one sided encounter on Monday night.
Belgium U-19 gold medal winner Hugo Cuypers master minded a great performance with a well taken hat-trick on the evening and winger Beni Badibanga wrapped the business for the Young Rounches.
Miya played the entire game.
The senior team travels to Club Brugge on Sunday, 28th August 2016 in their next fixture.
Miya was part of the 18 man when Standard Liege hosted Sporting Charleroi on the 19th August 2016 at their Stade Maurice Dufrasne in Leige.
Standard Liege has not won a league game since the 6th August 2016 when the defeated Sint – Truiden 2-0 at home. Jorge Pulido converted in his own net before Brazilian import Junior Edmilson scored.
Miya’s last game on the senior team at Standard Liege on 31st July 2016 in the away game against Westerlo at the Het Kuipje stadium in a match he was an unused substitute.
Earlier in July (23rd July 2016), he had started the game in the 2-1 away loss to Club Brugge at the Jan Breydel Stadium in Brugge City.
In the game, he was replaced by Belgium born midfielder Jonathan Legear in the 66th minute.
