Lawrence Ndugga has signed a two year deal with Mormenekse Football Club, a top flight side in Cyprus.
This follows his successful medical examination that was conducted at Kolan British Hospital.
It is a dream come true to be playing professional football. I will continue to work hard so that i maintain the form and serve my club to perfection
In a special way, i thank coach Ali Ojamu for trusting me and giving me the confidence.
Ndugga left Uganda at the start of July for trials in Cyprus.
In Cyprus, he started business with Dumlupinar Football Club where he managed to play a series of friendly matches.
He scored four goals in five friendlies played but negotiations hit a dead end over contractual disagreements before he switched allegiance to Mormenekse.
During a friendly match for Mormenekse against Dumlumpinar, Ndugga scored a goal and created two to stamp authority on the game single-handedly.
He has played for Simba, Kira Young and lately Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League.
At the national team level, he has been capped three times for the Uganda national U-23 side (Uganda Kobs) and twice for the senior, Uganda Cranes.
The Cyprus premier league will start on 20th September 2016.
